Owego Woman Charged with Stealing $70,000 from Company

An Owego woman is charged with stealing $70,000 over a six-year span from the company she worked for.

Owego Police have charged 47-year-old Denise LaBarron with Grand Larceny in the Second Degree, a Felony. The arrest comes after a two-month investigation into an alleged embezzlement of funds reported by the Homer C. Gow and Son's Company of Owego.

LaBarron was the office manager there. Police say LaBarron took the money between 2009-2015. They say she turned herself into police. She is due in Village of Owego Court on February 2nd.
