Walton Man Arrested for Rape and Multiple Misdemeanors

Police have arrested a Walton man for multiple crimes including rape, endangering the welfare of a child, and unlawfully dealing with a child.

On Monday afternoon, January 18, Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested and charged Tyler M. Davis, 22, of Walton with multiple crimes following their investigation of allegations the man provided alcohol to minors.

Davis is charged with eleven misdemeanor counts of Unlawfully Dealing with a Child, eleven misdemeanor counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and one felony count of Rape in the Third Degree.

Davis is accused of providing a number of youths under the age of seventeen with beer and liquor in the Village of Walton on at least two occasions between early December, 2015 and January 16th of this year.

The investigation also revealed that in December, 2015, Davis engaged in sexual intercourse with a female under the age of seventeen while in the Town of Walton.

Davis was arraigned in the Town of Colchester Court before Judge Arthur Edel and was remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond pending a future court appearance.
