Drunk Endwell Driver Ends Up In Ditch And Handcuffs

An Endwell man was arrested for drunk driving Saturday morning after police say he drove his car into a ditch.

Broome County Sheriff's Office responded to a single vehicle crash on Robinson Hill Rd. in Endwell around 3:00a.m. Saturday morning.

Deputies say they discoverd Matthew Mattucci, 36, and his vehicle in a ditch. Mattucci was still in the driver's seat. Upon investigation into the crash, deputies say Mattucci was driving around a curve, when he drove out of his lane and into a ditch.

Deputies say Mattucci showed numerous signs of intoxication and his BAC was measured at 0.26%, three times the legal limit.

Mattucci was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated without incident. He was later released and ordered to return to the Town of Union Court at a later date.

He is charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated With a BAC of .18% or Greater and a Moved From Lane Unsafely Violation.
