Lady Bearcats protecting their house

Home court advantage is proving to be a major factor in the BU women's basketball team success. The Bearcats are winless on the road, but undefeated at home after a 51-50 last second win over UNH on Saturday thanks to Rebecca Carmody's buzzer beating put back lay-up.

While the "W's" have yet to manifest on the road, there's perhaps no tougher place for a road team to win this year than the Events Center.

"Coach preached 'protect our house' and I think everyone is starting to realize how good we can really be and everyone's buying in we want to win," said sophomore guard Imani Watkins.

"I know it boosts my confidence and it should boost everyone's confidence that we can compete with anyone we want to compete with," said freshman guard Rebecca Carmody. "I know last week we had a tough loss and we should've beat them too. So having wins and protecting our house, protecting our home court is good and I think we're the team to beat in the league."

BU looks for road win number one Wednesday at Hartford.
