College Prep For Some Binghamton High School Students

It's time for some area teens to start thinking about life after high school.

The Binghamton High School PTSA hosted a college prep forum for students and their parents tonight.

The idea is to help parents and their kids negotiate through the painstaking college application process.

Former BHS students offered their advice as well. We spoke with someone who is helping to guide these young people.

"The most important thing with the 'Life After High School' program is one of the things we ask the kids. We meet with them the day before, we have a lunch-in with the students and we ask them how do they feel that Binghamton high school prepared them for what they are experiencing now in college," says Karen Whalen, a class adviser at Binghamton high school.

By the way, parents are encouraged to attend every PTSA meeting.
