Poll: Most Americans Oppose Allowing Syrian Refugees

American voters may be split in similar ways as Binghamton City Council when it comes to accepting Syrian refugees.

A Quinnipiac Poll shows 51 percent of American voters oppose accepting Syrian refugees into the country. However, 66 percent oppose banning people who are Muslim from from entering the US. 55 percent of voters say homegrown jihadists pose a greater threat of terrorism to the US. 18 percent say it's radicalized foreign visitors while 15 percent say Syrian refugees pose a greater threat.
