Three-term congressman Richard Hanna announced Monday he will not run for re-election in 2016.

The Republican made the announcement with his family by his side at his home in Barneveld. Hanna was first elected in 2010 to represent New York's 24th District. He was re-elected in 2012 and 2014 to represent the re-drawn 22nd District. Hanna will be in Binghamton Tuesday to discuss his decision.
