Sentencing of Oxford Man who Admitted to Killing Ex-Girlfriend

An Oxford man who pleaded guilty to beating his ex-girlfriend to death could spend the rest of his life in prison.

William Danielson, 49, was sentenced in Chenango County court last Friday. Chenango County District Attorney, Joseph McBride, says Danielson received a sentence of 20 years to life.

In September, Danielson pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree murder, waiving his right to a trial. He confessed to robbing and beating his ex-girlfriend Lucinda Knoll to death in her driveway in front of a seven-year-old child. The incident occurred in late December of 2013.
