Several State GOP Power Players Endorse A Presidential Candidate

The head of the Broome County Republican Party has provided Fox 40 with details on who he and other state GOP power players are endorsing in the 2016 Presidential race.

Thirty Republican elected officials and office-holders in New York have endorsed a certain candidate for President in 2016. He is a young senator from Florida.

Senator Marco Rubio is from the politically important state of Florida and he has the thumbs up from several members of the state GOP. The 30 endorsements from members of the State Senate, Assembly and County leaders have been touted by Rubio’s New York Campaign Chairwoman, Staten Island Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis.

In a written statement, Broome County GOP Chairman Bijoy Datta says, "Marco Rubio is the right kind of new Republican leader that America needs.
He stands for smaller government, less taxes, and strong national defense.
He is a stark contrast to Hillary Clinton, who is a career politician and 25-year Washington insider."

Rubio has simply been touring the country, touting his ideas to do things like create jobs in America.

Florida Senator Marco Rubio says, "The American private-sector will make America the easiest place in the world to create better paying jobs, and they will create those better paying jobs by the millions."

A recent real clear politics poll shows that Rubio is third in the GOP race for the nomination. Businessman Donald Trump ranks first and rising candidate Ted Cruz is second. However, it is still early.
