Man Arrested with Twelve License Suspensions/Meth

An equipment violation stop led to the arrest of a man with 12 active suspensions of his driver’s license.

A Broome County Sheriff’s Sergeant stopped Alan Kelley, 61, for an equipment violation on Front St. near the City of Binghamton line. Kelley was using a New York State Non-driver’s ID card.

A driver’s license check showed that Kelley had a total of 12 active suspensions on his driver’s license for various reasons.

It was also discovered that Kelley had a small amount of methamphetamine.

Kelley is being charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and 2 counts of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation among other charges

He was arraigned in the Town of Dickinson court and remanded to the Broome County Sheriff’s Correctional Facility in lieu of $200.00 cash bail.

Kelley is due back in Town of Dickinson court at a later date pending further court action.
