Thomas Clayton Indicted in Wife's Murder

The Binghamton native charged with killing his wife in Steuben County has been indicted in her death.

Thomas Clayton was indicted by a Steuben County grand jury on one count of murder in the first degree and two counts of murder in the second degree. Prosecutors say Clayton, who played professional hockey for the Elmira Jackals, killed his wife Kelley Clayton. She was found dead at their Town of Caton home on September 29th.

The indictments charge Thomas Clayton and Michael Beard conspired to kill Kelley Clayton, and attempted to commit arson. Thomas Clayton will be arraigned Thursday at 1:15.
