Suspect in Fatal Owego Accident Pleads Not Guilty

By Jason Weinstein.
The man charged with striking and killing a Taylor Garbage employee with his car pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Town of Owego Court.

72-year-old Donald Ulmer entered the plea on a charge of aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree. Police say Ulmer is responsible for the accident on Pennsylvania Avenue on November 9th. That accident claimed the life of 27-year-old Sean Tilghman of Endicott.

Police also say in August of 2014 Ulmer struck a motorcyclist when he pulled in front of him on Route 434 near the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue. The court is giving Ulmer the chance to get counsel before scheduling further court dates.
