Cub Scout Pack 100 Holds Christmas Tree Fundraiser

By Fox 40 News Staff.
A group of cub scouts have been really busy selling Christmas trees to raise funds for their troop.

Cub Pack 100 worked pretty hard to get some trees in people's homes in time for Christmas. The pack did it to raise money for their camping programs and national cub advancement program.

"We're working towards supporting our camping program, supporting any of the awards that the boys earn throughout the year. We just started a National Cub Advancement Program so we've got lots of awards to buy. These guys are really busy working on their rings," said Pack 100 Cub Master, Jackie Kinsley.

The boys were selling spruces and firs that were all locally harvested. Sunday was the last day of the sale and the pack is donating all of their extras trees to families in need for Christmas.
