Tioga County Holds Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day Ceremony
Monday, December 7, 2015 10:47 PM EST
More than 70 years after the attack on Pearl Harbor, people in Owego honored those who experienced that fateful day firsthand.
Organizers of the remembrance ceremony say its purpose is to honor the heroism and sacrifice of the military. They also want to keep the memory of the day alive, so that history doesn't repeat itself.
Five Tioga County servicemen were stationed at Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941. Four of them survived the attack.
