Police Step Out Of Their Cars To Make Room For Toys

Police cars filled the parking lot of Toys"R"Us today and no... this wasn't because of a shooting or robbery.

Police stepped out of their cruisers, opened up their doors and allowed people to fill their cars up with toys. This was all to benefit the annual Toys for Tots Drive.

" We only make donations for families in Broome County, and last year it was about 1,400 families, so about 3,000 children we provided presents for, for Christmas," said JC Police Dept. Officer Jody Kennedy.

Saturday's toy drive was run by local Broome County Police agencies and all the proceeds will be donated to those within the community that are in need for the holiday season.
