Stocking Stuffing for Military Kids in Owego

The spirit of generosity was at Lockheed Martin today. Operation Homefront teamed up with volunteers from Lockeed Martin to stuff stockings for children of members of the armed services.

The 400 stockings will be given out at holiday parties for the US Army Reserve, Air National Guard and Army National Guard. The stockings have special gifts for both boys and girls. These include stuffed animals, hand written cards, toys and other holiday goodies.

"We couldn't do what we do without partners like Lockeed Martin. Everything that we do is funded through grants and donations." said Matt McCue, programs manager from Operations Homefront.

"It's near and dear to my heart because even though I've finished my active duty service and I'm no longer in a reserve roll, I'm still able to reach into the community and support something that supported me as an adult." said Cheryl Kressly, programs manager, Lockeed Martin.

Operation Homefront is a nonprofit organization that provides US military members and their families with emergency, financial and morale assistance from donations and grant money.
