Bearcats getting closer to being over the top

The BU men's basketball team enters Tuesday's home game against Colgate just 1-4. While that's a slower start than the fans and the team were hoping for, consider that their season opener was a ten point loss to St. Bonaventure, lost to Army by five, hung with Cornell for most of the contest, and just on Saturday only lost by ten to Boston University.

While a loss is still a loss, hanging with and competing with teams as an underdog, is a positive sign for the rest of the season.

"We have enough talent to go out there even against teams like Boston, teams like St. Bonaventure, teams that have really good players and I feel like we have enough talent to fight with them," said Head Coach Tommy Dempsey. "We have to find a way to win some of those games. But there's a different feeling in what I see than what I saw a year ago where we were just taking on water every night. Right now I think we're a competitive group no matter who we play, I feel like we have a chance and we'll get this over the top soon."

Binghamton hosts Colgate Tuesday night at 7:00.
