Singer and songwriter Jennifer Nettles came from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade to Binghamton today.

She traveled from the Big Apple to the Parlor City to perform at Magic City Music Hall tonight.

Previously known for being a part of the band Sugarland, Nettles started
performing solo this year.

The tour is called "Playing with Fire" and country stars Ryan Kinder and Brandy Clark are her opening acts.

One young woman at the concert said she's Jennifer Nettles' biggest fan.

"Since I was 5 years old I've always just wanted to sing with her and be like her in every way," said Sara Pontier.

Nettles debuted as Roxie Hart in the Broadway production "Chicago" this past March and now she's working on an NBC production of "Coat of Many Colors" with Dolly Parton.

Before the concert, Nettles will speak with three leaders from the youth empowerment program, Citizen U, which is a part of 4-H.
