Scarvesgiving in Endicott

By Jason Weinstein.
Thursday was Scarfsgiving in Endicott. Scarves were hung on trees and posts near municipal buildings in the Village and on the statue of George F. Johnson.

But it wasn't a case of littering. The scarves were free to anyone who needed one. All the scarves had a note on them saying, "I am not lost. If you are stuck out in the cold take this to keep warm."

This idea started with a facebook post by Endicott Trustee Eileen Konecny who wanted to yarn bomb the Village with a purpose. She also urged people to share the idea with other small communities to take care of the needy.
