Multiple churches came together tonight to put on a special Thanksgiving service. Sarah Jane Johnson Methodist Church held it's annual Johnson City Ecumenical Thanksgiving service to the public. The service included a choir and chow drive to collect food for the hungry. It was a night to come together in the community and give back.
"A great old hem that said count your blessings one by one, and I hope people will stop this Thanksgiving, count their blessings and give thanks in some kind of meaningful way," said Pastor Ron Wenzinger.
Pastor Ron Wenzinger gave his thanks tonight by matching a dollar to each food item donated. The Sarah Jane Johnson Methodist Church will be having a Tuesday evening meal open to the public at 5:30 p.m. to jump start Thanksgiving.
