Windsor's Smith commits to play two sports at Mansfield
Windsor senior Cassidy Smith made her college choice official Thursday committing to Mansfield University. Whereas most graduating seniors these days have to pick one sport to play in college, Smith is not. She's committed to play field hockey and softball for the Mounties.
Both of her high school coaches, Jacklyn Skelton for field hockey and Bill Waldron for softball, expressed their support saying that if anyone can juggle two sports and a full course load, she can. Even still, she knows it's not going to be easy.
"I've been doing it my whole life with travel for two sports, so it'll be challenging but I'm kind of used to it. So, I'm looking forward to the opportunity to make the Mounties better."
Smith plans to study Criminal Justice and pursue a career in law enforcement.
