David Sweat Pleads Guilty

David Sweat, one of two convicted murderers who broke out of an upstate New York prison last year, pleaded guilty Friday to three counts related to the escape.

Sweat and Richard Matt broke out of the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora on June 5th and led police on a three week chase before being captured.

Matt was shot and killed while sweat was injured after being shot. Sweat had been serving a life sentence for the murder of Broome County Sheriff Deputy Kevin Tarsia in 2002.
