BU Students Protest For Free Tuition

By Faith Jessie.
Protesters at BU rallied on campus today calling for free-tuition, student loan-debt cancellation, and a $15 dollar minimum wage.

The rally was a part of a national movement called the Million Student March. Students all over the country marched today. They say that college is not a privilege and should be accessible to everyone.

"Because college is so expensive, it makes it inaccessible to people who are in the lowest rungs of society economically and those people are disproportionately people of color or people who are mentally ill or coming from other disadvantaged backgrounds. These people are the people we need to be uplifting the most in our society," said BU student, Sara Hobler.

This march was inspired by the beliefs of presidential candidate Bernie Sanders and the students held sings in support of him.
