Endicott Hosts Annual Veteran's Day Parade

Posted:
In the spirit of the holiday, the Village of Endicott threw it's annual Veteran's Day parade Wednesday evening.

The marchers proceeded down Washington Avenue starting at 7 p.m.

Leading the pack was a troop of Scottish bagpipes, followed by veterans in uniform, Revolutionary War reeanactors, and even some Cub Scouts.

Fox 40 caught up with 9-year-old Cub Scout Anthony Howell and asked him his favorite part of being a Scout.

"The best part is when you get to the parade," he said.

Anthony also said his favorite part of the parade was the loud noises that sounded like fireworks.

On a more somber not, according to a recent study, 22 veterans commit suicide everyday, including today.

Fox 40 caught up with a few veterans at the parade who said it's a tragedy any time one of their own dies, no matter how.
