An Accident Involving a Train and Car in Waverly Leaves No One Hurt
Friday, November 6, 2015 6:57 PM EST
Waverly Police and Norfolk Road Police are investigating a train and car crash that occurred Thursday night.
The incident was near the 5 Star Apartment Complex, formerly known as Lefty's Restaurant, in Waverly.
Police received a report that a Ford SUV was stuck on rail road tracks around 8:30 p.m.
Before they arrived to the scene, a west bound train struck the SUV, causing damage to the vehicle.
Police say the SUV appears to have lost control in the parking lot, drove through the property's fence, down an embankment and then became stuck on the tracks.
No injuries have been reported.
Police are still investigating the incident.
