Whitney Point Voters to Decide on Capital Improvements

By Jason Weinstein.
It's not just candidates on the ballot Election Day. Voters in Whitney Point will decide whether to approve a $13 million Capital Improvement Project.

The vote will take place until 8 Tuesday Night at the High School cafeteria on Keibel road. The project includes the expansion of the universal prekindergarten program, a new dedicated bus loop, student drop offs, expanded parking and lighting fixtures. State aid would cover 80 percent of the project. The District's capital reserve and the SMART School's State Initiative would cover the rest.
