Man Arrested After Stealing over $39,000 in Payments in Norwich
A New Berlin man has been arrested after forging nearly a year's worth of time sheets and receiving over $39,000 in payments.
Timothy B. Green, 26, is charged with felony forgery and larceny and was arrested after an investigation by New York State office of the Inspector General. Green was a substitute worker for the New York State Office for the People with Developmental Disabilities in Norwich, NY.
The investigation determined that Green had turned in fraudulent time sheets for work that he did not do between November 2014 and September 2015. Those time sheets resulted in over $39,000 in payments.
Green was arraigned in the Town of Guilford court and remanded to the Chenango County jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 property bond. His next court date in the Town of Guilford is on October 30, 2015.
