Bearcats having luckier season in 2015

After a 4-15-1 season in 2014 that included 12 shutouts, the BU Bearcats have turned things around and own an 8-5-2 record with two games left having already clinched a spot in the America East Playoffs. A win Friday at Stony Brook would clinch the regular season title and the top seed in the AEast playoffs with Wednesday's matchup against Albany serving as a tuneup.

The difference this year from last year? A few lucky bounces.

"I guess we have a little more luck at some games, we lost a lot of games 1-0. This year we've been scoring and getting the one chance into the goal," said F/MF Pascal Trappe

"I thought we were quite good last year we were just unlucky," said Head Coach Paul Marco. "We didn't get goals that perhaps we created to score and this year we are scoring those goals. I think our guys have come in, the bench has certainly made a difference. Guys have come in, new faces with many injuries. The opportunities that guys have had, they've done a lot with a great job with their minutes that their on the pitch."

BU travels to Stony Brook for a 7:00 start on Friday.
