Police: Owego Hit-And-Run Driver Comes Forward

Owego Police say the driver involved in a hit-and-run accident in the village at Front and Court Streets on Sunday morning has come forward.

Police say the driver caused several thousand dollars worth of damage during the incident at 1:20am.

According to police, the car involved is a gray, four-door 2015 Kia Optima. The car was seen driving through the village with no lights on. The driver then crashed into two utility poles and fled the scene across the bridge.

The driver damaged public property and caused damage to cars passing through the area.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
