A car accident in the Town of Dickinson sent a Broome County Police officer to the hospital Saturday night.
According to authorities, the incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Front St. and Old Front St.
Witnesses of the incident say a SUV failed to stop at a red light on Old Front St. and collided with a marked Broome County Sheriff's vehicle that was driving northbound on Front St.
The driver of the SUV was ticketed for failing to stop for a red light. The deputy was taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries.
