By Faith Jessie.
New York State Police arrested two people after an investigation into a string of convenience store armed robberies throughout Broome County.
On Friday, police arrested 24-year-old Rusian Opatskyy of Binghamton and 21-year-old Catherine M. Boyea-Kaninsky of Port Crane.
They were charged with armed robbery of the Port Crane Kwik Fill gas station on Tuesday.
Both of the suspects were arraigned in the Town of Fenton Court and held without bail. Police say the investigation into the armed robberies is continuing and additional charges are pending.
