Danish Air Force Aquires Helicopters from Lockheed Martin

By Alex Howard.
The hangar of Lockheed Martin in Owego was filled with employees, military officials, and foreign dignitaries for the grand unveiling of the 9 MH-R Rome Helicopters purchased by the Royal Danish Air Force. The Helicopters were flown to Owego for final fitting of technical sensors and computer programs before being sent to Denmark.

The ceremony features video demonstrations of the helicopters naval capabilities, as well as remarks from Senior Military Officials from the Danish Defense Department.

The Helicopters have been previously purchased by Australia and boast the most sophisticated multi mission abilities than any other helicopter in the world. The Danish Air Force will use them to patrol its overseas arctic territories and fisheries, namely it's Greenland Arctic Maritime Zone.
