Broome County Urban League gets Lifesaving Equipment
By Alexander Howard. More than 326,000 people suffer from cardiac arrest every year outside of the hospital. The lives of these people often depends on how quickly CPR is administered. Their chances of survival could be improved even more so if they have immediate access to an Automated External Defibrillator, or AED. That's why the American Heart Association, American Stroke Association and Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield gifted the Broome County Urban League with an AED. The organization also gave Hands only CPR demonstrations as well.
