Yacob out for season

VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton junior men's basketball guard Yosef Yacob will miss the 2015-16 basketball season with a shoulder injury that requires surgery, head coach Tommy Dempsey announced on Monday.

Yacob has started 37 games in his collegiate career, including 15 last season. He averaged 5.8 points and played just under 23 minutes a game in 2014-15.

He will redshirt the season and still have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

The Bearcats begin their season with a home exhibition game against SUNY Cobleskill on November 6.
