Flood Warning Issued for Hurricane Joaquin

The area is no stranger to natural disasters with one of the most severe floods happening just a few short years ago in 2011.
Heavy rains totaling more than seven inches flooded the region causing one of the worst floods seen in the area.
Today a warning was issued urging residents to prepare for heavy rains and potential flooding from hurricane this weekend.
Governor Cuomo issued the warning today which said that the storm is expected to bring at least three to six inches of rain for many parts of the state.
