Binghamton Remembers 9/11

14 years have passed since the tragic events of 9/11.

Ceremonies across the United States Friday to remember
some of those events honoring the victims of the terrorist attacks, and the brave men and women who responded to them happened in our area.

Friday outside Binghamton City Hall first responders gathered by a steel beam from the World Trade Center to pay their respects.

Binghamton's Fire Chief said that they sent those who could to help to Ground Zero.

Binghamton Fire Chief Daniel Thomas said, "You know I knew some of the firefighters who perished down there at the towers. It makers us stop take a few moments and think about what happened that day and what can happen any day."

2,977 people were killed during the September 11th attacks.
