Can Binghamton Be an Economic Hot Spot?

Could the southern tier ever rival economic hot spots like New York city or silicon valley? But officials at a panel and Binghamton university's downtown center this morning say it won't be easy. it's going to take a partnership between private and public organizations to make this area attractive to entrepreneurs.

One step to that end is creating what some call a mini-Silcon Valley in New York, including Ithaca and Binghamton.
