Binghamton Man Arrested for Syracuse Murder

A Binghamton man is under arrest for a murder in Syracuse. Officers from Binghamton, Syracuse, and the US Marshall's office arrested 42-year-old michael walker on Pine Street Thursday.

They say he was one of two people who shot and killed 71-year-old David Stiner of Syracuse in an attempted robbery as he was sitting in a vehicle waiting for a friend. Police say when the suspects fled they discarded items of clothing.

These items were recovered and police say the identified Walker from the DNA on the clothing. Walker has been charged with murder in the second degree and attempted robbery in the first degree. The second suspect is not in custody.
