Three women have been arrested after an alleged gang assault of another woman in the Town of Union.

Sherriffs say the three confronted a 59-year-old woman who was leaving a local business. Police say the suspects then began to assault and attack her, knocking her to the ground. they say the victim was kicked and punched in and around her face and head causing serious physical injury and extensive dental damage. They were charged with one count of felony gang assault in the 1st degree. All three suspects have been arraigned in local criminal courts and have been released to appear in court at a later date.

State Police arrest a Deposit man for the second time within two weeks on sex crimes.

30-year-old Nathan Tuttle was arrested yesterday for allegedly having sexual contact with a victim under the age of 17. Police say two weeks ago Tuttle was arrested after an investigation determined he had sexual contact with a 15-year-old. Tuttle has been charged with rape in the 3rd degree, a felony, and criminal sexual act in the 3rd degree. Tuttle is in the Delaware County Jail on $5,000 cash bail.

And, on August 30th, Delaware County Sheriff's Deputies arrested and charged 35-year-old Shane E. Bellows of Downsville with, among other charges, Reckless Driving and Criminal Mischief following their investigation of mid-August property damage in the Town of Walton.

Now we find that Bellows is accused driving south on State Highway10 in a reckless manner when he became involved in a head-on collision and then fled the accident scene.

Later, Bellows falsely reported that his vehicle was stolen.
