New Amphitheater for Ross Park

A new addition at the Ross Park Zoo in Binghamton. it doesn't have four legs but it does have 300 seats. It's a new amphitheater. it replaces the one that was damaged in the flood of 2011. the amphitheater will be used to host musical events, along with discovery center and zoo educational seminars. the old amphitheater will be demolished later this year.
"And i think overall thats the mission of all these groups and organizations, is not only to preserve history and memories but also to create new memories as well, that's why we're very excited about the amphitheater that the departments of the city have put together."- Steve
The amphitheater is funded by a $300,000 grant from the New York state parks, recreation and historic preservation's environmental protection fund, along with $100,000 from the city of Binghamton and $5,000 from Mcdonalds.
