BU Volleyball a young team but they see postseason run

The Binghamton University Volleyball team has made the conference postseason tournament five of the last seven years and played in the semifinal match last year.

Coach Glenn Kiriyama enters his 16th season at the university and has 241 career wins and this team is looking to earn their 4th NCAA Tournament Appearance. The last time the Bearcats made the big dance was in 2012 and even though this year's team may be young with four sophomores and three freshman, this group of ladies want to experience that postseason fun.

"It's exciting for them to make the postseason. It's a feeling that they want to experience again because they know what it feels like to not make the postseason which is not a great feeling sitting at home while everyone is playing so it was nice to make it last year and then they got to experience it a little bit but we want to do a little better this year," said Glenn Kiriyama, Bearcats Head Coach.

"So much motivation! I think it's in the back of everybody's mind on this team. We all know we have the talent to do it so it's really exciting to get to that point," said Allison Hovie, Junior Outside Hitter.

The Bearcats begin their season on August 28th at the Florida Atlantic Invitational.
