Local Authorities Show Some Muscle With A Few Drug Busts
If you're a criminal, you might want to consider a career change. Local authorities are showing some muscle.
The Broome County Special Investigations Unit has been cracking down on drugs. Today we have reports of a number of arrests made by this group, including a 22-year-old Binghamton resident named Okan Thompson. A search of Thompson revealed that he was in possession of 100 bags of heroin as well as approximately 3 grams of loose heroin. Thompson was apprehended after a short foot chase and charged with, among other things, criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Also, 24-year-old Darrow Moore of Johnson City was picked up with ten bags of heroin, a quantity of crack-cocaine and a digital scale. He faces charges of criminal possession and of criminally using drug paraphernalia.
