Arrests in 2010 Barker Home Invasion

After a five-year investigation, two arrests in a home invasion burglary in the town of Barker.

The incident occurred on September 3, 2010 at 124 Walters Road. Police say it resulted in the assault of a 50-year-old female resident which left her with severe injuries.

26- year-old Dustin Buckley of Binghamton is charged with burglary in the first degree, a felony. 25-year- old Timothy Ellis of Binghamton is charged with attempted murder in the 2nd degree and burglary in the first degree.

New York State Police Captain James Barnes said, "She is disabled at this point, she suffered blindness in one eye, partial hearing loss, and this was a heinous act. Over several hours she was alone severely injured, life threatening injuries."

Both suspects have been sent to Broome County Jail without bail. The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to call the New York State Police in Binghamton at 775-1241.
