Maine-Endwell Little League faces elimination after loss

From the top of the first inning, Tuesday's Little League World Series Regional game was an uphill battle for the boys from Maine-Endwell. Pennsylvania scored three runs in the first and never relented as M-E fell 11-3 and faces elimination in a 10 am Wednesday matchup against Washington, DC.

Connor Rush started on the mound for M-E throwing 3.0 innings, giving up five runs, all earned on six hits and serving up two home runs. Davis Wanchisen faired no better, lasting just 0.2 innings giving up two home runs, four runs, three earned on three hits.

Cole Wagner, a 5'10", 155 lb lefty, pitched three perfect innings for Red Land, PA before turning it over the bullpen. M-E scored it's first run in the 4th on a bases loaded wild pitch and Michael Mancini hit an RBI triple an inning later but the hits were few and far between and the runs even fewer.

The play of the game goes to Michael Borne though, who robbed a would be home run in the 5th inning.

M-E faces elimination in the loser's bracket as they look to survive and advance Wednesday morning against Washington, DC at 10 am.
