A fourth name has been added to the list of those looking to be on the ballot to fill the vacant seat in the Senate and its not from either of the two mainstream parties.
Rich Purtell has earned the Libertarian party nomination. Now he needs 3,000 valid signatures by August 18th in order to be on the ballot. Purtell says he knows he has an uphill climb but feels ideas such as de-criminalizing marijuana and reducing regulations on small business need to be introduced to the campaign.
The election is November 3rd. Democrat Barbara Fiala and Republican Fred Akshar will be on the ballot. Denver Jones is also looking to gain the necessary petitions to run on the taxpayer party line.
