Hoffman awarded $2 million in arbitration

Former Binghamton Senators forward Mike Hoffman will earn $2 million dollars over the next year after his arbitration case was settled Monday officially ending the NHL arbitration season. Hoffman set career highs in all major scoring categories including goals (27) which was tops among Senators rookies. His 48 points was 4th in the NHL among first year players.

His 1-year, $2 million deal is a team friendly compromise as the Senators were seeking 1-year/$1.75 million while Hoffman was looking for 1-year/$3.4 million.
