Spiedie Fest Continues

The most anticipated festival of the year is now underway right in Otsiningo park.

The 31st annual Spiedie Fest and Balloon rally continued at the park.

There was live music entertainment from performers like Colbie Caillat followed by Christina Perri, a Taste of New York tent, live glass blowing demo from an Animal Adventure petting zoo among dozens of vendors. And you can't forget the staple item of the festival -- Spiedies.

Vendors say while the festival draws together the community, it's also great to draw in crowds from outside of the area as well.

"Spiedie Fest does bring our community together, but even better is that Spiedie Fest brings in people from outside of our area. I was just speaking with a gentleman from Philadelphia, they're here because of Spiedie Fest. Any time the area can put on an event that attracts outside tourists, that's a win for everybody," said Owner of Animal Adventure Jordan Patch.
"I had a lot of fun!" said Endicott Resident Mason Durfee.

The Festival continues Sunday and Fox 40 will have a tent up, giving away free balloons, from 1 - 5 p.m! also, be sure to check out the Celebrity Spiedie Cooking competition.

Our very own Lindsay Raychel and Jeremy Donovan are preparing some award-winning Spiedies.
