Binghamton Man Arrested, Faces Impersonation Charges

Police say a traffic stop in Binghamton has led to the arrest of a man with 25 suspensions on his license.

Daniel Lupold, 24, of Binghamton was pulled over after police say he backed illegally onto Upper Court Street from Louisa Street in Binghamton just before midnight Monday night.

A sheriff's deputy recognized Lupold as having been arrested last July for impersonating a relative in an attempt to conceal the 25 suspensions on his license. Police say he tried to use the same alias last night. He is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, a felony, and criminal impersonation, a misdemeanor. A passenger in the car, Brittany Looper, 21, of Binghamton, was also arrested after police say she had two active warrants for her arrest.
