Governor Cuomo Honors Disabled
Sunday, July 26, 2015 11:10 PM EDT
Governor Andrew Cuomo is honoring people with disabilities.
Saturday the governor signed two pieces of legislation to strengthen the state's support of people with disabilities.
One legislation protects those with disabilities who are refused access to public places.
Another legislation directs the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities examine state laws pertaining to military families.
The legislation would also suggest improvements to make sure laws better serve families of those with developmental disabilities.
Sunday also marks the 25th anniversary of the American's with Disabilities Act.
