St. Cyril's Prepares for Annual Festival

A church is getting ready for some festivities Sunday.

Saint Cyril's church of Binghamton finished final touches for the 19th annual Saint Cyril Parish Festival. Organizers say preparations began back in May.
Dozens of volunteers have come out to help with getting food ready and setting up the venue.

Approximately 11,000 Halupki have been prepared to sell for Sunday.

"It's just so special for all of us to get together. Many of us have been with this parish 50+ years, and we just love getting together and celebrating our day of fun," said Volunteer for St. Cyril's Festival Lola Kaminsky.
"It has an ethnic background for Slovak, which our parish is. And also it's our biggest church fundraiser which is why we do it every year," said Volunteer for St. Cyril's Festival Betty Ann Graham.

The festival will run Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. with ethnic food, raffles, games and live music entertainment.
